Are You Ready To Create?
In this year of 2021, the stars are said to be lining up to support high creativity and massive expansion in our lives and in the cosmos. So say the astrologers. They also tell us that in this time of big-change-energies, we may not be able to hold on to our old and not-working ways so easily.
On the spiritual journey, there is always another layer to remove to reveal another aspect of ourselves that has been kept hidden. Things like, true strength and courage to express creatively, more compassion and deeper feelings of love for ourselves and others. All the things we need in order to pursue the life we are meant to be living.
Oftentimes we hold onto the old as a child clings to its old ratty and torn security blanket. We must let go of the old, if the new is to reveal itself to us. But there is that reluctance. And it can be powerful.
Take heart. The energies right now are aligned to support us in this, even if we are feeling sluggish and unmotivated (a sign, by the way of your body adjusting to new higher vibrational energies.)
Here’s what happened to me. I woke up one day feeling sluggish and a bit disoriented. I got some coffee and dragged myself over to my closet to get dressed. As I stood there looking for something to put on. I noticed how many clothes I had in there that I never wore. Many of them were very nice clothes but out of style. I had been attached to them, for years, hoping they would come back in style, knowing I would never spend that kind of money on clothes now.
Then out of the blue, something came over me and I began to pull them out, slowly at first and then more and more aggressively. I still had on my pajamas. And when I finished that closet, I went on to do two more. After a while I had a big pile of clothes, shoes and accessories to go to Good Will and I still hadn’t had breakfast, but I didn’t care. I now felt energized and clear as a bell!
In contemplating what happened, I realized that those old clothes, though still beautiful, represented a past time and way of life that I no longer cared for. But I still had some identification with them and now I realized, for the first time that that identity has kept me from being truly free.
That exercise began something in me. I just so happened to be going on a retreat right after that where we would be working on past traumas. I discovered in that workshop that there were some things I didn’t even realize were still affecting me. As I began to face and process them, I received clear insights and fascinating revelations. I was able to transform my perspective and open to a deeper love and gratitude for all things in my life. I’m excited about the creative ideas and new found energy to pursue them that has come to me.
I know from my own work as a coach that we don’t always have to delve deeply into the trauma itself to release it. Acknowledging it, using metaphor (giving it an image), intending to release it, new empowering affirmations and prayer can all work wonders.
Now is a perfect time energetically to do some internal house cleaning!
If this is the year that the stars will support high creativity and massive expansion, shall we prepare to jump in fully by shedding our old and worn-out baggage to make room for new ideas and new possibilities?
