5 More Tips to Empower Your Dream
Your state of mind is probably the most important component of manifesting! And, if you combine it with clear intention and small consistent action steps every day, you will become unstoppable.
1. Ask for What you Want & Dance With What You Get
It’s very powerful to get clear on what you want your life to be like . It brings focus and intention to your life. At the same time, don’t be too attached to it coming out exactly as you laid it out. Remember, God’s plan for us is so much better than anything we could dream up. So be open and flexible. When writing your intentions and goals, after stating what you want, you can add the phrase, “or something better.” When things don’t turn out exactly as you wanted, ask ”What’s the opportunity here?” And listen for an answer. It will come over time.
2. Focus on the What, Not the How
Don’t worry about the how. Just trust that the way will be revealed to you. Focus on and visualize the outcome you want. But do keep taking action (stirring the pot) and asking “What’s my next step?” Your outcomes do not always come directly from the action you take, but from the strong intention behind your actions. This is the power of intention. Repeat these affirmations often. You can put them on index cards or sticky notes and post them where you will see them.
“Everything I need and want comes to me in divine wisdom.” “Everything I need to know is revealed to me.”
3. Give Up “Stinking Thinking”
“I can’t do it” “I’m not smart enough, good enough” Whenever a negative thought comes up that makes your gut wrench, shuts you down and keeps you from acting. Say this:
“I now release the belief __________. Then take a deep breath in and blow that thought out as you blow out through your mouth three times. Picture it leaving you. Then immediately turn it around to its opposite.
“I can’t do it” would become “I can do it.”
“I’m not good enough” “I am perfect just as I am”
Say, “I now install the new empowering belief___________ and breathe it in” letting it fill up your entire being.
4. Celebrate
Every time you see progress toward you dream, find a way to celebrate it. Maybe you made some calls that you had been dreading or worked out a little longer at the gym or showed leadership in a certain situation.Think of something that you love to do and go do it! It needn’t involve money, but of course it can. The inner child in you needs to be rewarded, whenever you do something out of your comfort zone. And it’s only when you get out of your comfort zone (the dead zone, some call it) that you can make progress toward you dream.
5. Cultivate Happiness
A lot has been said about about celebrating, focusing on positive feelings, turning our “stinking thinking” into positive affirmations, etc. These are all for the sake of cultivating happiness. Most people think success brings happiness, when in fact happiness brings success. Every time you think poorly of yourself or others, blame, criticize, complain, you are creating a future that will bring you more to complain about, criticize, etc.
“How can I cultivate happiness, when I have so little to be happy about?” you may ask. Most people don’t realize that happiness is a choice. It’s not always easy to turn unhappiness around. You can start by just noticing when you are unhappy and then remember that you have a choice. Make every effort to lift your spirits whenever you can – music, exercise, a walk outdoors. And as you get in that habit, then when the sadness or pain comes, it won’t be so hard.
Decide on happiness ahead of time. Do more things that make you happy. Love every detail of your life, even your bills. Look for the gift.
