The Power of the Creative Feminine
As women, we’re often so busy doing for others, putting out fires, performing and trying to hold it all together that we put ourselves and our needs on the back burner. We are naturally multi-taskers, caregivers and nurturers, who often put what’s most important to us last or give up on it altogether. Self love and self care have gone missing and…. this is a recipe for dimming down our power and being unfulfilled in our lives.
Self –love is the fertile soil from which the sacred seed of your Divine Feminine takes root ~Ocean Whitehawk
So often women don’t utilize their gifts such as intuition, passion and creativity. When you are not living from your authenticity, it’s hard to be joyful and fulfilled. Who is this woman, what are her values and most of all what does she truly long to express in her life? Some want to find their passion. Some want to find their voice. Some want more balance and ease in their lives and some want to use their creative powers to create more prosperity in their lives.
When a woman answers these questions for herself, she begins to strengthen her relationship with herself, stand confidently in her power and then she is juiced by life. Then she gives herself permission to honor and care for herself, to love herself just the way she was created and go for what she really wants. That’s when she is standing in the Power of the Creative Feminine.
I grew up with some shame around being a woman. It really held me back. I was taught in my generation not to appear too smart or too good at sports or too in-charge around a potential date. In other words, don’t dare be yourself and say what you think and how you feel. The boys wouldn’t like it and the subtle message was – they wouldn’t marry me. Of course that was what I was being raised to do – get married, have children, and always defer to the man, which is all fine if that is your calling. I thought it was mine, but it didn’t turn out to be. I must say I found my calling late in life, but I found it and now I am passionate about helping you find yours.
The first step is Self Love. Once you learn to love and trust yourself, everything else begins to follows. If this resonates with you, look for my article on Self Love, take the quiz and download the guided meditation.
Be True & Be You! You, not someone like you, but YOU are a gift to this world. So, share yourself!
This is so strong and beautiful Beth. I love your share that you found your calling late in life and being so clear in stating it. Over the years, I have heard different callings, and finally I am listening to one I didn’t/couldn’t answer 30 years ago! Thanks for this lovely post.
